Day 1st. Bucharest – Where Orient meets Occident |

Arrival at Bucharest airport in the afternoon. Welcome and transfer to hotel. For transfer, meeting point on the right side of the exit gate, in front of the flower shop. Transfer to your hotel 4*in Bucharest. Accommodation and dinner in Bucharest.

Day 2nd. Walachia – traces of the Byzantine splendor |
|
|
|
|
|
After breakfast, departure for Curtea de Arges, the former capital of Wallachia. Visit the Episcopal Church, built by Prince Neagoe Basarab (1512-1517), where the Romanian Kings are buried. Drive along the picturesque Olt Valley to Sibiu, one of the oldest cities in Transylvania - formerly Hermannstadt - founded by the Saxon colonists. Guided walking tour of the medieval town (the Main Square, the Evangelical Church, the Liars' Bridge, etc.) Lunch in a local restaurant. Depart for Sibiel, the picturesque village which was awarded the prize "Pomme d'Or by the Press Association FIJET. Dinner with traditional dishes, overnight stay, breakfast at 3* guest house, where you could see for yourself villagers' life, traditions, and gastronomic savor.

Day 3rd. Transylvania calls - UNESCO Heritage, medieval treasures |
|

Breakfast. Departure twards the heart of Transylvania through the Saxon villages. En route, visit the fortified Church at Biertan (UNESCO sites), one of the most beautiful fortress from Romania, in Gothic and Renaissance style. Arrival in Sighisoara- UNESCO site, the only medieval citadel from Europe still inhabited. Walking tour of the citadel, recognized worldwide as the birthplace of Count the Clock Tower, the Venetian House (which dates from the 16th century and and inspired by the Venetian Gothic style), Vlad the Impaler House (seems being the oldest civil stone construction in the city), The House of Deer (so named because of the deer’s head attached to the corner of the buiding.; it is a specific buiding of Renaissance Transylvania, dating from the 17th century). Lunch in a local restaurant. Continue to Targu Mures. Short walking tour through the elegant city centre. Drive on to Bistrita, a medieval city with Germanic influences, a real domain of Dracula, and the place where supposedly Jonathan Harker, Bram Stoker’s hero spent the night before arriving at Dracula’s Castle. Dinner and overnight in good 3* Hotel in Bistrita.

Day 4th. Sweet Bucovina - UNESCO World Heritage! |
|

|
|
Departure to Bucovina – the "upper land" and of the unique painted monasteries, belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage. Crossing the land of Dracula, wonderfully depicted in Bram Stocker's novel "Dracula", we arrive at Campulung Moldovenesc and visit the Wooden Museum. Lunch in a local restaurant We continue with a visit to Lucia Condrea's workshop, the famous creator of painted eggs, as well as the village of Vatra Moldovitei, with its traditional small houses, old steam train, and unspoiled nature. In the afternoon, visit the Moldovita Monastery – a symphony in purple-red, a medieval art treasure. This monastery, built in 1532, has a beautiful icons and exterior frescoes representing the siege of Constantinopole by the Persians and the Avar. Visit Voronet Monastery, called "the Sistine Chapel of the East" due to the dominant "blue" of its frescoes and the beauty of the paintings, masterpieces of the post-Byzantine time, of which the scene of the "Last Judgement" is worldwide known. Taste the local aperitif ‘affinata’ ( alcoholic drink made from brandy and blueberry fruits). Accommodation and dinner in good 3* Hotel Gura Humorului/ Suceava

Day 5th. - The Magic of Moldavia! |
|
|
|
|
|
In the morning, after the breakfast, we continue driving through the Moldavian villages, with their typical houses. Visit the Neamt Monastery, built in the 14th century or Agapia Monastery, with their unique fortified entrance and classical elements of Moldavian and Wallachian architecture, an example for all Moldavian churches. In the afternoon, drive along Bicaz Lake and its impressive dam, to admire the scenic view. Continuation the route, passing by Silver Forest with a famous Reservation of auroch/ bisons. Crossing the fabulos Bicaz Gorges continuing to Lacul Rosu, formed around 1838 when an earthquake followed by a landslide. Felled fir tree whose dry branches have a reddish color gave the lake its name. Typical lunch in Tarpesti or Lacul Rosu. Tasting of the local drink, the « Tzuica », a brandy made from plums or apples Continuation and accommodation in 3* hotel for 2 nights, in Brasov. Dinner not included.

Day 6th. Brasov/Kronstadt – the Saxon gem of Transylvania |

After breakfast, Walking tour of Brasov , former Kronstad. Brasov - the city of knights of the Teutonic Order, is located at the foot of the Carpathians, as the South gate of Transylvania. The tour include: the Black Church (only exterior view), the biggest Gothic church between Istanbul and Vienna, the old fortifications, the White and Black Tower, the Council Square, the Ekaterina Gate and Saint Nicholas Church. Departure to Prejmer. Stopover at Prejmer for visit to the fortified church, also included in the UNESCO World. Lunch in Prejmer. Drive on to Bran and visit to the famous medieval castle - the ‘Dracula's’ Castle - built as a fortress for the citizens of Brasov in 1377, as a defence to the city. Surrounded by an auraof mystery and legend, Bran Castle owes its reputation to its unique charm and to the myth created by the writer Stocker around Count Dracula. Overnight/ Breakfast in Brasov in a good 3* or 4* hotel in Brasov or nearby. (No dinner in this location)

Day 7th. Follow the royal route! |

Breakfast. In the morning, crossing the Carpathians, departure to Sinaia, one of the most beautiful climatic resorts nicknamed the ‘Pearl of the Carpathians’. Visit the fabulous Peles Castle, former residence of the royal family, which houses a collection of arms and armor unique in its richness and diversity. Continuation towards Bucharest by Royal Road. Panoramic tour of the city of Bucharest, with its buildings, its great avenues Kiseleff and Victoria, museums and monuments that testify the intense cultural activity. Mentioned for the first time in 1459, considered in the 30's "Little Paris", Bucharest is today a modern city. Lunch in Bucharest. Continuation with visit of the Palace of the Parliament, the most famous and controversial monument in Bucharest. Known as the "House of the People" until 1990, it is the largest administrative building in Europe and the second largest in the world after the Pentagon with an interior surface of 262 000 meters. Day 8th.: From Bucharest to Danube-Delta |

|
|
|

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with your guide and depart for the Danube Delta Lunch en-route. Arrive at Tulcea, situated by the Danube River. Lunch and visit of the wonderful Danube Delta Museum. Transfer by boat, to the fisher village Crisan. Check-in, dinner, and overnight stay in nice 3* Hotel in Crisan or surroundings.

Day 9th.: Visit the green paradise of Donau Delta! |

After breakfast, a trip by boat in the Danube Delta from this typical fisher village, of Crisan trip by boat in Delta. Since 1990, the Delta is on the list of UNESCO's natural heritage. Home to more than 300, some very rare, species of birds and over 160 species of fish. You will pass through water channels, floating reed islands, and brings you the uniqueness of this natural paradise closer. Lunch with specific specialty fish specialties. After lunch, another trip by boat in the Danube Delta on the small water channels and seas. In the late afternoon tip back by boat to Crisan. Dinner/bed/breakfast at the nice and good hotel in Crisan or nearby.

Day 10th.: Danube-Delta and the small harbor town of Sulina! |

After breakfast, one day trip to the only town in Delta, the harbor city Sulina. Overnice lakes and canals in Delta you will travel by boat to Sulina. Visit the small, historical town. Lunch with specific specialty fish delicacies. In the afternoon visit the sandy coast by Sulina, where you can take a bath in the Black Sea and enjoy a sunny afternoon on the sand. Transfer by boat back to Crisan. Dinner/bed/breakfast in your hotel

Day 11th.: Transfer to the airport Otopeni/Bucharest. |
