Day 1: Paestum

Arrival at Paestum and check in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Paestum - Velia

Morning breakfast at the hotel. In the morning - departure for Paestum and guided tour of the Temples: the Basilica, the Temple of Poseidon and the Temple of Cerere. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon - proceed to Velia, visit to the archaeological sites of the ancient Elea and of the monumental Porta Rosa which is meant to be the oldest example of an arch-shaped gate in the entrance to a town. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Pertosa - Padula

Morning breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure for Pertosa and visit to the Grotte dell'Angelo which are old caves featuring very beautiful examples of stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon proceed to Padula and visit to the Carthusian Monastery of San Lorenzo, the largest architectural compound in southern Italy which houses the Archaeological Museum of West Lucania. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Teggiano

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Half day guided tour of Teggiano. Teggiano is arguably the town in the Vallo Diano area which has best preserved its medieval appearance. Visit to the XIII century castle and to the many churches which were built between XIII and XV century. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon transfer back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Departure

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Departure and return home.
